Aishwarya Rai, the world's most beautiful woman: Too fat?

Bollywood has many comparisons to its sister Hollywood, but publicly admonishing actresses to be pin thin is not one that usually is heard of.
Times of India newspaper has reported it’s been an up and down time for gorgeous star Aishwarya Rai. The former Miss World has lost, gained and then lost weight again for back to back film roles.
Rai was most recently asked to lose weight for her upcoming role in Dhoom 2 (Big Bang 2), which is being shot in Namibia, Africa - famously the recent temporary home to new mum Angelina Jolie, who many consider to be the western Hollywood counterpart of Rai in beauty and fame.
Deepika, Rai's personal trainer, is putting the nicknamed "Ash" through two-hour workouts starting at 4 a.m. every morning.
"Ash is a very dedicated actress and she is working to get into the skin of her role," Rai's manager, Hari Singh, told the Times of India newspaper.

Ashley Judd, as far as I am concern, is the most beautiful woman of all. The Indian actress looks so made up.

With all honesty, Ash is the prettiest woman I have ever seen. However, she seems stuck up and I am not attracted to her personality (when she gives interviews that is) as I am attracted to Sushmita Sen's. Sush is a person who's attractive both inwardly and outwardly in my opinion. I love the way she talks to people. I think Sush is more like Jolie than Ash is (even though Sushmita is currently not on highs in her life).

actresses and hollywood personalities such as the Olsen twins, Keira Knightly, Kelly Ripa need to follow Aishwarya and eat some food. Pencil thin needs to be out of Hollywood and needs to be replaced with women with curves. Pencil thin women are negative role models for young women, and that is why at this moment young girls are sticking their fingers down their throats and exposing every color of the rainblow,just in hopes of looking like Nicole Richie. Majority of women in the world, regardless of customs or religion, are curvy. The pencil thin women need to get their minds right!!!
I recently watched Bride and Prejudice with commentary from the producer and director on. During the scenes were Ash was wearing T-shirts and jeans, director Gurinder said that Ash wore no make up at all. And guess what?! She looked even more beautiful than with make up on. Ash is beautiful inside and outside no matter how fat or skinny she looks. She is proud of her country and her country is proud of her! Those people who perceive her vulgar need to take classes in Cultural Communication and learn how to understand people from different countries. BE OPEN MINDED stop judging people to your own standards!!!

I had never heard of this women before and in seeing her picture, I think that she is attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some prefer light some prefer dark and all have merit. I think true physical beauty is hard to come by. People can change everything about themselves and so who knows what they were really born with, so it is the inside that really counts. Women can be very catty. I can appreciate an attractive woman when I see one. I feel good about myself and don't need to pull others down to elevate myself. I will say that it makes me angry when comments are made about thin women. Some with eating disorders can be too thin, but don't forget that small framed people that aren't carrying around extra weight can still look small. I have curves in all the right places (god given) and play sports and am athletic and I still only wear a size 2 pants. That doesn't make me thin, it makes me small!!!

She extrinsically helps her country by being a good and positive role model. She not only represents herself, but her country. She lets the world know that India is a good country. Forcing the body to stay super super skinny through starvation interfers with the regular function of the organs especially the heart! Ash is a very beautiful woman with or without all that make-up. In India, all you have to have to be considered beautiful is light skin and light eyes. Hollywood actresses get paid a lot of money for a reason. They are in the image business. They work hard to get their bodies into shape. They are not simply skinny, (some are), but most of them take care of themselves and hit the gym and eat properly. . Even after having children they make every effort to get back into shape, usually even better than they were before.
Alot of people in India are quite the opposite of what is considered beautiful, dark skinned, dark eyes, thin bodies from working hard.In India they like if you're chubby on top of having light skin and light eyes. I think it's very backward thinking and simply a shame.
I don't think Rai should be exempt just because she is from India. I think she should work as hard as everyone else does. I personally don't think she is very beautiful or deserving of all the attention she receives. There are so many more beautiful, talented, intelligent woman, from India or anywhere else.

yo Aishwarya is the most beautiful woman in the world. she's got sumthin called natural beauty. Unlike some ugly actresse(rani mukherjee) she doesn't wear a load of make-up. even if she does, it all looks natural. I heard she just married a tree. Yes, a tree. I always thought she looked like a cross between a bird and a witch. So, I guess the attraction is very understandable. I've always felt there was something very unnatural

personally, i don't like her face most of the time. there are a few pictures where i do think she looks really pretty, but never beautiful. i find her facial expressions rather vulgar sometimes. i would never 'be caught dead' in any of her non-indian clothing (just because they may have designer labels does not make them beautiful) though most of her indian clothes are absolutely stunning.
i don't like her accent either; she sounds like an indian who is purposely botching up the british accent...she doesn't sound british, or anything else for that matter and sounds really irritating when she speaks like this. she ought to stick to her own natural accent...she sounds normal and nice when she does.
i think audrey hepburn and the late princess of wales had infinite amounts more of style, grace and class which added to their natural beauty. allegra kent, grace kelly, sophia loren, queen rania of jordan, zhang ziyi and ingrid bergman are also my other favorites.

I have met Ashwaria rai!! She was in New York for a Movie concert and due to my father's conncetions with the people who organized the show I was able to meet her back stage. I am an Indian myself and was quite a huge fan of her. I was shocked!! She is quite ordinary looking. Her eyes are colored which is a big deal for us Indians but that is it. She is in no way the world's most beautiful woman. She is no match for Many Hollywood beauties and to compare her to Angelina Jolie is to insult Angelina's beauty.
