According to Variety, actor George Clooney and director and partner Steven Soderbergh have decided to cease working together in their Section Eight production company, founded six years ago.
Clooney will officially part ways with Soderbergh on August 1st, starting up Smoke House, a production company with Good Night, And Good Luck co producer Grant Heslov.
Section Eight will still produce Clooney's upcoming movies, including Ocean's Thirteen and The Good German, both directed by Soderbergh.
Variety reports that Soderbergh has said he wants to focus more on film-making and less on development and producing.
Smoke House is named after the old-school Burbank, California, restaurant that sits across the street from the company's offices on the Warner Bros lot.

I enjoyed a very nice dinner with Ann Coulter at The Smokehouse after her appearance on the Tonight Show.
