Who to believe: Paris or Nicole?

In separate reports, both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have issued conflicting statements about the status of their friendship and creative overlaps.

Paris has attacked Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie, stating publicly fame turned her into a snob.
 
The heiress also stated: "Fame affects people in different ways. I've always remained the same girl, and she's just not the same person any more.  I think she just let fame get to her head. She's only nice to famous people.

"I don't know what happened to her. She's just not the same sweet girl I used to know. I wish that she'd come back. It breaks my heart."

According to rumors, if Richie apologizes to Hilton, then maybe all will be well.
Nicole Richie, according to reports, is somewhat fatalistic regarding Hilton's left-handed friendship plea.

Richie commented on all Hilton’s passive aggressive platitudes by saying, "That's nice but I can't predict the future, so I don't know."

"It was fine. I mean, you have to understand that, regardless of Paris' announcement a year ago that we are no longer friends; we really haven't been friends in maybe three years. We grew apart. It's that simple, in my eyes.”

"So I'm very used to working with somebody who I don't get along with. Work is work." According to Richie.
