Pierce Brosnan’s son; a new “reality” for the once troubled lad?
By M&C News Jul 9, 2006, 16:17 GMT
Actor and star of The Matador, handsome Irishman Pierce Brosnan has given his blessing and encouragement to his once troubled son's debut into reality TV, wishing him the best on his appearance in a celebrity dating show.
Actor Chris Brosnan, 33, recently reconciled with père Brosnan, after years of undisclosed substance abuse.
Hoping to get his career on track, Chris will appear on Love Island, where celebrities are sequestered in a tropical paradise and urged to “hook up.”
Chris says, "He (Pierce) wished me luck and told me to have fun and enjoy myself."
Chris' brother Sean is also set for his acting debut when he joins the prestigious British Shakespeare Company for two plays this summer.

Sean Brosnan is appearing with the British Shakespeare Company this summer, not the Royal Shakespeare Company. The British Shakespeare Company is the UK’s leading exponent of magical open-air theatre and Sean is playing the eponymous hero in Romeo and Juliett. He's had fantastic reviews so far, and the Comapny is in Nottingham from 13 to 16 July, and Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds from 25 July to 20 August.
