Shannen Doherty fills in as temp co-host for “The View”

Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty will fill in as a co-host on talk show The View later this month. The actress joins a growing list of guest co-hosts sitting in after the abrupt departure of Star Jones Reynolds last week, after she was fired. Doherty's new reality show Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty, premieres on Oxygen next month. She will join forces with people in relationship peril who want to get out of bad relationships, but can't seem to do it on their own. Doherty will guest co-host The View on July 31 and August 1. Also scheduled to sit in as co-hosts are American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, Dancing With The Stars winner Kelly Monaco and judge Carrie Ann Inaba. A replacement for Jones Reynolds is expected to be named in the autumn.The rumors point to Rosie O’Donnell as the likely permanent replacement.
