True Chappelle show fanJul 10th, 2006 - 05:19:05

This show has become a joke! How can you have Chappelle show without Chappelle. The man is a comic genius and for Comedy Central not to allow the man to be creative and leave him alone to do his thing is pathetic. What also is pathetic is how Charlie Murphy and Darnell Rowlings and Neal has stabbed the man in the back. If Charlie wants to get paid stop piggy backing off of your brother and Dave and try to do something. I hope it was worth it for Neal to sellout a 10 year friendship for a few dollars and never to be heard from again. Comedy Central sucks. and Dave is still the man

Shut up fanboy. You don't know a dman thing about it. Grow up, and take your nose out of Chapelle's backside.

Dave Chappelle let down A LOT of people who depended upon him and his show for their living, so enough of the 'poor Dave' crap. I know a lot of people who can't find work and struggle to make ends meet, and here's a guy who has it all and chucks it seemingly on a whim. I guess he figures that the rules of fulfilling one's obligations apply to everyone but him.

He was interviewed on CNN and to this day he continues to find fresh new ways of saying nothing. What angers me the most is his gall in acting as if he didn't really owe Comedy Central anything. Oh yeah, that's right, he didn't fulfill a contract (signed without duress), but that's evidently immaterial. He has enough money that he no longer needs to care, and so he doesn't.

Then a couple of months ago, Dave Chappelle -- having heard that Comedy Central was salvaging three stupid episodes from the sketches Chappelle finished before jumping ship -- disclosed in an interview that this felt 'like it's kind of a bully move.'

'A bully move', he says? And what did that make his decision to abandon his team, his network and his contract? That's different? And what exactly does the man expect Comedy Central to do -- willfully steer clear of any attempt to recoup its investment over fear of offending someone who left it in a lurch without explanation? What planet is this moron living on?

He added during that same interview that he couldn't see how he'd be able to bring himself to ever return to the network to fulfill the terms of his contract in the wake of the decision to air these 'lost episodes.'

'That will damage our relationship,' he said.

ROTFLMAO! What? Damage a relationship he himself had already destroyed? This alone proves conclusively that the man really is a quart or two low, but you think he's a genius. So sad. Stop watching tv. Go read a book.

That the door still remains open for Chappelle to return is almost unfathomably solicitous and forgiving on Comedy Central's part. You may recall that he told Oprah Winfrey in February that he doesn't want the money and might only return if he could give it to charity. My response: So go ahead and do it, dude. What's stopping you? You're rich bitch.

It would at least be nice to see Dave Chappelle follow through on one of his promises. I'm not holding my breath.

Hey PJH... what the hell have you done in your life thats on par with DCs success? Nothing? STFU, already.. I could tell by your pompus response that you have no idea why Dave walked... Because your not true to yourself.

if a man as real and Dave walks away from that much money in hollywood, youd best believe that something was seriously wrong.

In my opinion, Dave would have been an even bigger sellout had he continued the show under the circumstances they tried to force upon him.

So, Darron, what you're saying is that his responsibility to those he employed meant absolutely nothing at all? Or that he gave his word that he would complete seasons three and four meant nothing? Sorry, but I'm old school. When a man gives his word and takes on obligations that involve some hundred other people, he should damn well fulfill that obligation. My perspective has absolutely nothing to do with the money. Whether or not he was making 50 million an hour, or $5.35, it's my belief that he, as a man, should have kept his word and not jumped to another continent without so much as giving notice at all.

I knew from the start Neal Brennan came from a position of total ignorance about blacks in America. 'Crack is funny' is one comment that springs to mind. Or when they dare to show any interracial sex in the mad real world he feels compelled to say on the voice over 'People said it looked like rape' and then the crap about how Dave let everyone down? Bull! Dave said, 'Hey, everybody did well out of the show...[and] If you're my buddy, talk to me don't let me see it first in time magazine...' Absolutely. With this lame furtive cobbling of leftovers behind Dave's back he shows himself to be a true backstabbing traitor.
The reason people hate Dave Chappelle is he told the TRUTH about the racism and mistreatment against blacks that has never stopped, and all this ---- about crack and mental hospitals, this just proves it. You know they'll never let a black man stand up as strong and independent without offering him ten times as much to portray himself in roles that humiliate, demean and belittle great men [and women, too] and try to force them to betray their culture. well dave is awake up to the full blown conspiracy out there by WHITES not blacks to keep them 'in their place'
and not tell the truth. We all know it. Dave and Paul Mooney, these are the men I trust, and ignore all the racist lies being put out against Dave.
