Actor John Cusack, 40, has filed a restraining order in the Los Angeles County Superior Court asking for legal assistance via a restraining order against a woman who Cusack claims is stalking him.
The “Must Love Dogs” star filed papers on Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Cusack claims Emily Leatherman has been "showing unusual interest (in him) by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside, making unannounced visits to offices of people I work with in an attempt to meet with me and listing my address as her own during a recent arrest. Mail addressed to her has been arriving at my residence without my permission. I have never met this person." The documents also say Leatherman "threatens to commit acts of violence against herself if I do not help her." According to court papers.
“Leatherman is a transient with no known address,” according to TMZ.com.
Cusack is currently filming “1408” with “Evil” (Ondskan) director, Mikael Håfström. http://dvd.monstersandcritics.com/reviews/article_1174982.php/DVD_Review_Evil
“1408” is based on the Stephen King horror story of the same name. In researching his latest book, Cusack’s character Enslin is determined to check out the notorious room 1408 in a New York City hotel by staying as a guest in the haunted room.
