In the New York City restaurant Nobu 57 Thursday night, singer/actress Beyonce Knowles and her Mother and Sister were the victims of a surprise ambush by two members of People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
The PETA people had won a chance to dine with Knowles and her mum, Tina and sister Solange for the VH1's Save the Music Foundation. Knowles told the press she no idea they were PETA members.
Beyonce Knowles owns a fashion line, "House of Dereon", with her mum Tina, that uses some fur.
During the course of the meal and after placing their dinner orders, the PETA members pulled their public confrontation. Pulling out a portable DVD player – they played a video narrated by Pamela Anderson detailing the fur industry carnage featuring footage of animals who are trapped, drowned and electrocuted for their pelts.
The PETA members were swiftly escorted out of the restaurant.
PETA spokesman Michael McGraw says, "PETA has contacted Beyonce numerous times over the years, begging her to stop promoting the violence of the fur industry." McGraw hopes that Beyonce's ambush had an impact on her business practices. "She must be truly heartless to be unmoved by the images of foxes being anally electrocuted and minks having their necks snapped." McGraw is reported saying by the Daily Dish.com.

It was an ambush because PETA went there under false premises. The dinner was not supposed to be a venue for filming Beyonce regardless of the topic. Paying for the dinner was only supposed to give the winner the right to eat a meal and have a private talk. That's it. PETA is desperate if they need to create drama like this.
beyonce owe peta a refund they won the bid & they were suppose to have lunch & a private talk with her to ask whatever they want & her ghetto mother cut their lunch short so unfair, bcus her sorry, scary, not that good of a singer anyway daughter was punked, when they first started talking about the clothing line she was so happy & answering the ?'s but when her back went against the wall she clammed up, i thought u were an independent woman, pack your bags & go u r not the real 24-year old i thought u were, u got punked by a couple of white women, u r not allowed in the black circle anymore & don't need to perform for the bet awards we want a real woman repping our people, u she mjb put them in their place, u r a sell-out beyonce
Beyonce will give PETA a refund when they pay her for all the publicity they got out of ambushing her and filming it. What's that? Maybe 20 million worth of free publicity around the world? Somebody should punk the PETA fools.
i think all the haters should leave beyonce she has never done any thing wrong to any one and i have seen her live she has got one of the best voices i have ever heard who has not worn a bit of fur
PETA members were very polite with Beyoncé, but she and her mother didn't want to hear about the animals. I'm sorry for those who think that animals don't matter, because their mind is unable to understand other's suffering.
'She has never done anything wrong to anyone', what about the animals electrocuted or strangled for her fashion clothes? is that right?
PETA are a bunch of stupidhead jerks they want to try and force their veganism on us through their act of stupididy they are a bunch or radicals are PETA should be disbanded they are a radical cult of animal worshippers who must belive in this darwinism poppycock bull kaka

Re: Beyonce Knowles charity dinner:
That doesn't sound like an ambush to me. The PETA members PAID a large sum of money for the privilege of having dinner with Knowles. Unfortunately, celebrities use charity functions such as this as a guise-- simply to create publicity for themselves. As long as the conversation was civil (and it was --you can view the video of the dinner), Knowles should have been open to discussing issues that were of interest to her 'guests.'
