Tom Cruise most powerful celebrity

Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 has posted the new 2006 celebrity rankings. The magazine tallies celebrity's earnings and media appearances from June 2005 to June 2006.
Actor Tom Cruise is at the head of the class, bumping off Oprah Winfrey, who is this year's third entry.
Newcomers to the Forbes Top 10: the Rolling Stones, U2, Shock Jock Howard Stern, rapper 50 Cent, the cast of The Sopranos, and The Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown. The highest paid comedian was Jerry Seinfeld at number 28 on the list. Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie tied for 35th place, while Brad Pitt was listed at number 20.

2. Rolling Stones, $90 million
3. Oprah Winfrey, $225 million
4. U2, $110 million
5. Tiger Woods, $90 million
6. Steven Spielberg, $332 million
7. Howard Stern, $302 million
8. 50 Cent, $41 million
9. Cast of The Sopranos, $52 million
10. Dan Brown, $88 million
