Actress Jessica Alba quietly has stepped up to the plate, salvaging production time lines for the film ‘Bill’, currently in pre-production. Alba replaces actress Lindsay Lohen, 19, who dismissed the role in the 11th hour due to "quality of director" issues.

Lohan has been reported to say that she will only work with "known" directors, and has switched over to the set of ‘Georgia Rule’ starring Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda.
Alba has been steadily working on films, and has managed to avoid negative scrutiny and situations that Lohan keeps finding herself in.
An LA producer who asked to remain anonymous told me: "Frankly, there are several kinds of young actresses currently, ones with talent that flirt dangerously with trouble all the time, ones with talent that lay low - keep their noses clean and do their "homework", and those that are just "famous" inexplicably, possessing zero talent whatsoever."
