With 'Friends' like these

Long standing rumors have circulated there was tension between key cast members and the writing staff of the long retired but still popular series "Friends". Writer's assistant Alex Bernstein has come forward publicly citing examples of un-friendly behavior. Bernstein is no longer the self-described "sitcom lackey", as he had been fired long ago from "Friends" for the egregious sin of "Not typing fast enough".Cut to today, Bernstein lives in San Francisco as a practicing lawyer. But Bernstein still has plans to be a writer. A recent showcase in the San Francisco Bay-area featured his self-produced and directed "One Acts by a Former Sitcom Lackey". According to Inside Bay Area, cast mates Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow were, to Bernstein, "the most horrible human beings in the world." According to the Inside bay Area report, the two actresses would call the writers frequently with "ideas that were idiotic." Bernstein gave props to Matthew Perry citing that he "was the only one we'd listen to." Bernstein also had kind words for Matt LeBlanc. "He was far and away the most professional and low-key of all of them. He always knew his lines early in the week and wasn't half-assing it like the others. When you do what I do, you come to appreciate when someone else is working hard. He didn't have the same ego as everyone else. You could really tell he appreciated having that gig." commented Bernstein in the Inside Bay Area report.
