Alanis might consider American men, once again

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, 29, and rocker Alanis Morissette, 32 are officially kaput, months before they were due to wed. The Canadian couple became engaged in 2004 after an intro by Drew Barrymore at her birthday party. Despite the common Canadian ground, according to past media sources there was some worry that a "Gigli" type backlash might occur when Reynolds wanted his fiancée to make a cameo appearance in the romantic comedy "Just Friends". Morissette skyrocketed to fame in 1995 with her multiplatinum rock album Jagged Little Pill. A well-rounded Morissette has respectable acting credits and has written and produced an improvised reality mock-documentary "We're With The Band"
that follows Alanis Morissette and her crew on stage and off. Reynolds recently wrapped "Smokin' Aces", a film with Ben Affleck, Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) and Jeremy Piven.
