Matt Damon's girl relief
May 31, 2006, 14:17 GMT
Matt Damon is relieved his first child will be a girl.
The 'Bourne Identity' star and his wife Luciana Bozan are preparing to welcome their baby into the world in the next few weeks.
Damon told America's People magazine: 'We're due in mid-June. I'm glad it's a girl. My step-daughter Alexia wanted a sister. If it was a boy it would have been a big problem.' The couple met in Miami while shooting 'Stuck on You' in 2003. They married at New York City Hall last December and Damon became stepfather to Boznan's 8-year-old daughter, Alexia. Sources have also revealed the couple have chosen the name Isabella for their daughter. The actor's baby will be just six months younger than his close friend Ben Affleck's daughter Violet. Damon is hoping the children grow up to be best friends. He said: 'They will definitely have playdates. All we have to do is end up living in the same city.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
