Namibia wants the day Angelina Jolie gives birth to be declared a national holiday.
An informal radio survey on Tuesday (22.05.06) asked listeners if the 'Brangelina' baby should be given the honour - usually only reserved for royalty and national heroes.
Over half of listeners to Radio Wave who voted were in favour of the public holiday. The DJ who was responsible for the survey said that voting was still going on. Meanwhile, the Hollywood couple have asked an African chief to name their unborn baby. Brad and Angelina approached governor Samuel Nuuyoma at a dinner several weeks ago to pick a name. He said: 'When she goes to the hospital, as the father of the region, I will be informed and I will go there. 'I will announce the good news and I will be naming the baby.' Nuuyoma said the couple - who have two adopted children, four-year-old Maddox and baby Zahara - are 'good people, peace-minded and ready to help'.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
