Pete Doherty to quit drugs for Kate

Pete Doherty has reportedly vowed to quit drugs in a bid to win back ex-love Kate Moss.
The drug-addled rocker decided to get fitted with an anti-heroin implant after hearing Kate is dating British comic Russell Brand.
The Babyshambles star will have the naltrexone device - which stops the highly addictive drug from having any effect on him - inserted into his stomach next week. It is the second time he has tried the implant. Doherty was said to be devastated when he heard stunning Kate, who reportedly ditched him after completing drug rehab following her own cocaine scandal, was spending time with MTV presenter Brand, also a former drug addict. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'Kate really loves Pete but she cannot be with him if he continues to use drugs. 'Russell is perfect for her because he has managed to get clean - and he makes her laugh.' The insider added: 'Pete was furious to hear that she is dating him - especially as he is a pal of Pete's old Libertines bandmate Carl Barat. 'But he has vowed to get her back.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
