Action star Jackie Chan 'heartbroken' over loss of pet dog

Hong Kong - Martial-arts and comedic film star Jackie Chan is 'heartbroken' over the disappearance of his pet dog that ran off from his Hong Kong home when a gate was left open, his website said Tuesday. The 52-year-old star of Rush Hour and Shanghai Knights has offered a substantial reward for the return of the golden retriever called Jones who went missing Saturday. Police were called and notices put up around the area after the dog went missing near Chan's home in Hong Kong's Kowloon district, but there has been no trace of his pet. 'Several JC [Jackie Chan] Group staff members spent hours walking through the neighbourhood looking for any sign of Jones,' Chan's website said. 'Jackie is understandably heartbroken since he and Jones have a very close bond,' it added. 'He is offering a substantial reward to anyone who provides information which results in the return of Jones.' Jones is a 15-month-old retriever and, according to Chan's website, was last seen wearing a red, white and black collar.
