Tom Cruise: Daughter said marry Katie
May 11, 2006, 18:09 GMT
Tom Cruise's adopted daughter told him not to let Katie Holmes 'get away'.
The 'Mission: Impossible III' actor says he was delighted when 13-year-old Isabella gave him her blessing.
He revealed to America's People magazine: 'After I began dating Kate, Bella looked at me and said, 'Don't let this one go. She's the one'.' Cruise - who recently had a daughter, Suri, with the former 'Dawson's Creek' star - fell in love with her at first sight. He gushed: 'I knew almost as soon as I met her. I thought, 'I'm going to be with this woman.' And then after a couple of hours, I thought, 'I'm going to marry this woman'. I just knew.' The 43-year-old actor has already been married twice. His union with actress Mimi Rogers lasted three years, while his relationship with Nicole Kidman - with whom he adopted Isabella and 11 year-old Connor - ended after 11 years. Cruise is due to tie the knot with Holmes, 27, later this year, but says neither of them wanted to rush into it. He revealed: 'Neither one of us felt like, Hey, let's just get married.' He also says they need some time to make sure the ceremony and celebration will 'be something special'. He said: 'In many ways, we feel like we already are married. I know I'm with the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. So the wedding - that's just the party.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
