Los Angeles - Has the birth of his baby daughter Suri finally calmed Tom Cruise down? The evidence is mixed - he embarked on a manic publicity stunt for his new movie Mission: Impossible III, but he did act relatively calmly in all his media interviews.
The movie star has also sent a peace offering to actress Brooke Shields after their public feud over the treatment of depression - an ailment that Scientologist Cruise refuses to acknowledge.
Shields gave birth to her second child on the same day that Cruise's girlfriend Katie Holmes had Suri. Cruise has now tried to heal the rift with Shields by sending her a basket of gifts for the baby.
'We sent her a gift and I'm really happy for her ... We sent her a basket,' he said on a US television show.
Shields insists she'll accept the gift as a token of renewed friendship: 'I haven't received it yet but that's awfully kind of him,' she said.

Remember he has two other childrenMay 9th, 2006 - 14:51:48
Why should this child calm Tom down, he has two other children. Are you saying his biological child is more special? Rubbish, people has a right to their own opinions, how ever passionate they might be, we do not have to agree with their assessment, but who give you the right to call anyone crazy?
You build up you tear down aren't you all soooo fickle. Goosh!!!
