Jessica Simpson kiss-and-tell hell

Jessica Simpson has been left 'devastated' by her estranged husband's decision to tell the world about their failed relationship.

Nick Lachey recently told a US magazine that he felt 'blindsided' and 'sucker punched' by the split.

After she told him she was filing for divorce last December (05).

Friends of the singer-turned-actress told America's People magazine: 'She was devastated, heartbroken.

'She didn't think he would do that.'

Insiders claim what upset her most of all was the timing of his decision to kiss-and-tell.

They revealed: 'Nick waited until two weeks before for his new album, 'What's Left Of Me', to debut to tell a reporter that he loved Jessica. That's not cool.

'He keeps saying, 'I'm sorry I couldn't make her happy,' but he is not choosing to say why.'

Lachey recently revealed he wished he had walked in on estranged wife Jessica Simpson in bed with another man - because it would have made their split easier.

He said: 'That would be clear-cut. End of story. I wouldn't have to deal with the uncertainty of adultery.'

The couple, who shot to fame on MTV show 'Newlyweds', also criticised the series for coming between him and Jessica - who he claims performed for the cameras.

He revealed: 'It became a really blurred line. There was a question about what truly was our reality.'
