Jessica Simpson is wearing her wedding ring again - but insists she isn't back with estranged husband, Nick Lachey.
The 'Newlyweds' stars split last year after three years of marriage, and the pair are in the middle of divorce proceedings.
Jessica has now been spotted wearing the wedding band on a chain round her neck rather than on her finger. A friend of the singer-turned-actress insists the blonde has decided to wear it again to remind herself of the happy times the couple shared. The pal told America's People magazine: 'You can still move on and have the memories. 'Nick will always be an important part of her life.' The ring is accompanied by two crosses, one that was given to Jessica by her parents, while the other matches a crucifix that both her sister, Ashlee, and mother, Tina, wear. A source close the 'Dukes Of Hazzard' star also revealed the jewellery represents 'a combination of things that are important to her.' Meanwhile, Lachey, 32, has revealed how he was shocked when she called time on their relationship. The former 98 Degrees singer said: 'I was blindsided when she turned to me after dinner one night last November and said, 'I think I want a divorce.' 'I basically said, 'Please, let's sleep on it', but when we woke up the next day she was still sure. He added: 'Sometimes I think it would be easier if I had just walked in the house and found her in bed with a guy. That would be clear-cut. End of story.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International

Nick doesn't have anybody feeling sorry for him all he is doing is getting his emotions out there about their split and how it has affected him. Everybody has their ways of getting over things and the way he gets his mind off things is by doing it in music and I am sure when Jessica's music comes out evrybody will be thinking that she wants people to feel sorry for her to but that's not how it works the put their thoughts into music. So why don't people quit picking on them all the time and mind their own business because for one i am sure that they split because of all the lies that had been in tabloids that will put stress on anybody's marriage no matter how much you trust one and another....

I dont understand why Nick could be bothered with Jes. I mean lets face it..she is not Angelina Jolie or Nicole. Just a D-class celebrity with bad acting skills, Mariah carey-wannabe and pretending to be a diva. She looks like a stripper sometimes. Even stripper can talk better than her. mmk. I just want to start off by saying that we all need to back out of their lives and let them decide whats best for them. I absolutly adore both Nick & Jessica. They are both wonderful artists with great hearts. I believe that they love eachother with all their hearts and still do. Once you love somebody as much as those two did, you'll never stop. They are great people, and they trust eachother. I wish people would stop making up lies about how each of them cheated on the other. It broke my heart when I found out they were spliting up. I mean for a couple as right for eachother as they are cant make it, then who can? I guess thats all I want to say, except I will never stop believing in Nick & Jessica, or their love for eachother.

im getting so tired of Nick getting everyone to feel sorry for him-we all seem to forget when they were married how many times he was caught at a strip joint-sorry i dont feel sorry for you-your crying now that you lost her but when you had her you didnt seem to be interested-typical!
