Madonna has been taking guitar lessons - so she can perform 'The Sound of Music' for her two children.
The pop diva and husband Guy Ritchie reportedly love treating nine-year-old Lourdes and Rocco, 5, to renditions of hits from the 60s musical, including 'Do-Ray-Me' and 'My Favourite Things'.
The star's former guitar teacher, Bobby Tider, told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'I taught Madonna the scales. She wanted to learn 'The Sound of Music' for her kids. She also wanted to play early David Bowie and her own songs.' He added: 'She was very good and worked very hard. You have to put in the hours. Guy was slow but Madonna was a good pupil.' The music tutor gave the singer weekly lessons after filmmaker Ritchie approached him in 2001. He said: 'I got a call from Guy. I didn't know who he was, just some rich dude. I used to go to his flat and I was sitting there one day when Madonna came in. She asked me to give her lessons too. 'Because I had been charging Guy £30 per hour I had to charge Madonna the same - she was used to paying £60.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
