Tom Cruise and pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes reportedly put on a bizarre display during a recent interview.

The Hollywood actor - who has shocked fans with his peculiar antics, including the now infamous Oprah couch jump, since meeting Katie - was embarrassingly affectionate with his wife-to-be as they chatted to a reporter.

Journalist Dotson Rader wrote the star was "hooting how beautiful she was, touching and kissing her like a teenage boy on his first backseat date, aware that he was being watched" in an article in America’s Parade magazine.

She also noted heavily-pregnant Katie seemed "dazed, passive and vacant".
She added: "She never stopped smiling."

Meanwhile, Cruise also revealed in the interview how he used to live in fear of his abusive father.

The 'Mission Impossible 3' star - who has two adopted children from his relationship with ex-wife Nicole Kidman - said: "He was a bully and a coward - the person where, if something goes wrong, they kick you.

"It was a great lesson in my life, how he'd lull you in, make you feel safe and then, bang! For me it was like, 'There's something wrong with this guy. Don't trust him. Be careful around him.' There's that anxiety."
