New York - Supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested Thursday on suspicion of assaulting her assistant with a cell phone, New York police said.
The alleged attack on the 42-year-old woman occurred at Campbell's home in Manhattan and left the alleged victim with a gash in her head that took four stitches to close.
Campbell is infamous for her temper tantrums and pleaded guilty in 2000 in a Canadian court to striking another assistant on the head with a telephone.
Her New York publicist denied the latest allegations and described the case as an attempt at 'retaliation' by the assistant, who had been fired.
'We believe this is a case of retaliation, because Naomi had fired her housekeeper earlier this morning,' said a written statement. 'We are confident the courts will see it the same way.'

How can you trust the credibility of this article if you confuse Tyra Banks, who by the way is the model 'who hosts both a reality show about models and a daytime talk show,' with Naomi. This Article Sucks!
