George Clooney actions off goodie bag
Mar 17, 2006, 13:59 GMT
George Clooney is auctioning off his Oscar goodie bag to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The Hollywood heartthrob has given his pricey sack of gifts to the United Way Hurricane Response and Relief Recovery Fund.
He says he has no need for the expensive items - including a mobile phone, a designer kimono and a Tahitian pearl necklace - which are given to celebrities attending the star-studded ceremony. The 'Syriana' star - who was named Best Supporting Actor at the awards earlier this month - will also write the winning bidder a thank you note, acknowledging their role in helping victims of the disaster. Meanwhile, the handsome star has revealed he won't sleep in his master bedroom - because it's too lonely by himself. He admits he hates the main bedroom at his plush Lake Como villa because it's too big for him. Clooney - who has been linked to a string of famous women - revealed: 'It's too big. Far too big. 'I've never quite managed to spend a night in the grand boudoir, so I sleep in one of the other 14 bedrooms whenever I'm there.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
