Uma Thurman is single again after dumping her hotelier boyfriend, Andre Balazs.
The stunning 'Kill Bill' star fuelled rumours of a break up at the weekend after she turned up at Sunday night's Oscars (05.03.06) alone.
A source close the actress told America's New York Post newspaper: 'They recently got into a huge fight and Uma dumped him. 'Uma had decided he was not the kind of man she would marry and was looking for a way out.' Another insider added: 'They are taking a break. They are very good friends. 'It was too much, too soon.' Thurman's publicist Robert Garlock has now confirmed the split, saying: 'Unfortunately, it is true. But they remain close friends.' The break up comes just weeks after the mum-of-two - who split from husband Ethan Hawke in 2004 - gushed about how happy she was. However, she did admit that it was a 'rebound' relationship. She added: 'Everyone constantly taunts you that rebound relationships aren't a good idea and they don't work. But mine is working, surprisingly. The sexy star added: 'It's lovely to have a man in my life who's cute, intelligent, interesting and complicated, and very supportive.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
