Tom Hanks top sales star

Tom Hanks and Oprah Winfrey have been voted the stars with the most selling power.
The Hollywood heavyweight and the chat show host topped a new index, of hundreds of celebrities, targeted at US advertising agencies.
Two-time Oscar-winner Hanks has appeared in more than 50 films, including 'Philadelphia', 'Forrest Gump' and 'Saving Private Ryan'. Winfrey is best known for her TV chatshow, which is watched by 30 million viewers each week in the US alone. Jeff Chown - the president of Davie-Brown Talent who are behind the list - said: 'Until now, there was no tool created for brands by brands to evaluate celebrities and their influence. 'We're trying to determine whether this person would help sell a product to a particular demographic.' Last month, Hanks was named America's favourite movie star for the second year in a row.
