Avril Lavigne wants to become a model.
The rock rebel says she has finally discovered fashion and wants to star in 'really beautiful' ads.
The stunning singer has signed to Ford Models agency and says she's ditching her grunge image.She said: 'I'm starting to feel more feminine. I'm getting into hair and make-up and image. That's the best part of being a girl.' And Avril thinks she'd be a great model. She said: 'I look through magazines and stare at ads and think, 'I'm not six feet tall, but I know I can do that'. 'I want to do those really beautiful ads with the high-end products.' Meanwhile, Avril has signed up to make her acting debut in a screen adaptation of Eric Schlosser's bestselling expose 'FastFood Nation'. The Canadian pop star will share the screen with Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, and Lindsay Lohan's ex, Wilmer Valderrama, among others. The movie, based on the book which exposed secrets of the fast food industry, will be released later this year.

Get a life, how can you call someone you've only read about in the press something when you actually know nothing about them. I find it offensive that you assume so much about complete strangers. There is no 'old' Avril, and there's no 'new' Avril, just Avril, and her life's none of your business, plus facts show that she's doing well and making something of herself. Actually, avril looks good as now than she did before. before, she was just a girl who wanted to be punk but didn't get that punks were actually studded, shaved, and dirty and settled for the mall scene with a modern day pop sound with a little rock in it and tried to pass it off as something is wasn't to gullible impressionable 12-year old girls or older people who just ignored her image. And the people who listened to mall punk or sellout punk music like MxPx, sex pistols, or ramones (ya, ramones are sellouts, GG allin said so- ask any 'real' punk who he is and they'll know) got mad just--which is actually kind of retarded of them.
Now, her looks fit her sound and personality. She isn't as appealling to some of her earlier fans, but that's because they're shallow and shouldn't care about how people dress. She isn't embarrassing and doesn't put her foot in her mouth so often. I say, stick with it. She can be a model, sure. I think this is just a sign of her growing up and not conforming to the ideas that to sell music, you have to dress in all black and have alot of bracelets on your wrists that you can't even bend your arms. Do it. If people don't like it, then that's too bad for them.

I met her once with backstage pass and she was rocking!! i had SO MANY posters of her, i had the same bracelets as here, one of the same shirts, EVERYTHING! now i dont want to be her with her dresses, cover up and high heels! AVRIL PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ROCKER YOU! she was my idol!! she's lost so many fans now, i love her songs (4EVA) but just not her clothes and such so you people dont be all talking back at this it is MY OPINION!
