Madonna's marriage not on the rocks
Jan 25, 2006, 15:41 GMT
Madonna's marriage is not on the rocks, her spokeswoman has insisted According to reports in the US, the singer's five-year marriage to British film director Guy Ritchie is in trouble.
New York writer Ben Widdicombe said sources told him: 'The couple have split but they're keeping it quiet.'
But Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, has said the couple's relationship is as strong as ever. Rosenberg insists the reports are false and Guy, 37, recently spent a lot of time with his wife while she filmed her video for new single 'Sorry'. She said: 'Guy came to the set to visit, once with the children, Rocco and Lourdes, and once without. Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie seemed comfortable and adoring of each other. 'My sense is that they're quite a happy, content couple.' However, a source close to Madonna - who wed Guy in a lavish British ceremony in December 2000 - claims the 47-year-old beauty has been 'spending very little time' with the movie maker. The source is quoted in Britain's Daily Record newspaper as saying: 'Her latest album is a hit and that is all she seems to care about these days. 'A split? Not sure. Spending less time together? Most definitely.' &EngCP; BANG Media InternationalCopyright 2006 BANG Media International
