Cruise's baby talk
Jan 12, 2006, 13:12 GMT
Tom Cruise and fiancée Katie Holmes are set to give a tell-all interview on US TV today (12.01.06) about their baby.
The couple will be quizzed by Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show and are expected to speak candidly about the pregnancy, including possible names for the unborn tot.
Website TMZ.com reports: 'Tom and Katie reveal that they still need to find a godmother, a babysitter, decide on a name and take Lamaze classes. 'In true Ellen style, the talk show host volunteers to help out with all of it.' Meanwhile, it's been claimed the star couple are set to tie the knot this summer - but want to wait until their baby is born. The pair have revealed they hope to marry after Tom finishes shooting 'Mission Impossible 3' but may put off their nuptials until the autumn. Tom said: 'I do not have a film after 'Mission Impossible' and that is a good time to get married.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International

That girl, is almost thirty years old. She's hardly jail bait, and maybe she doesn't much care for her peer group. It happens, or maybe she's just in love with a guy and ready to start a family. It happens to many women in her age group. Most of my friends and co-workers were married (or not), and had at least one child by 28/29/30. I don't see the problem. Her co-star Michelle Williams just had a baby and she's younger. As was Kate Hudson. Most of the famous moms are all around the same age, from Jennifer Garner to Gywneth Paltrow. Some of them were even pregnant before they were married. Katie Holmes is no different. I think Michael Douglas and Catherine-Zeta Jones have a bigger age difference. I just don't get the big deal.
Well, I think Katie is having a baby at the perfect age. After 30, your baby's risk factors for down syndrome go way up, as well as the mother's risk factor for fibroid tumors and other complications. So, she couldn't have picked a better time to start a family.
Getting married before pregnancy is always ideal, but I can't say that most people I know really adhere to that in this day and age. I think my parents married after me and all my siblings were born. And they were Seventh Day Adventist and Catholic.
What's important is that they love each other, that their love lasts and their children feel loved and properly cared for. There's nothing worse than growing up in a broken home, with an absentee parent. Children really are a reflection of their upbringing, so it will be interesting to see how things turn out.

Doesn't surprise me....Jan 13th, 2006 - 01:19:06
that no one has left any comments here. Cruise out to keep on cruisin on out of that girl's life. He is such an old fool. Got himself a young woman to carry his child. She hasn't even lived her life with people of her own age. She is mesmerized with him and it will not be good for her. I am hoping that she will figure this out real soon. I feel that he does not have good intentions. Poor kid.
