Jessica Simpson has reportedly splashed out on a $3million home in Beverly Hills - just weeks after splitting from husband Nick Lachey.
The 'Newlyweds' beauty - who has filed for divorce after three years of marriage - is said to be thrilled to have found a new home.
A source told America's People magazine: 'She's happy to have a house that's hers. 'This is the first time she's making her own decisions.' Jessica filed for divorce shortly before Christmas, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the pair's split last November. According to court papers, the sexy blonde requested that Nick is not awarded spousal support after they separate, and is legally reverting back to her maiden name after changing her name to Jessica Lachey after their marriage. The singer-turned-actress has hired divorce attorney to the stars Robert Kaufman to represent her, while Nick has enlisted the help of lawyer Laura Wasser - who also has experience of representing celebrities.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
