Stallone fit enough for Rocky
Jan 3, 2006, 16:38 GMT
Sylvester Stallone has slammed claims he is too old to reprise his role as boxing hero Rocky Balboa - aged 60.
The Hollywood actor is currently filming the sixth film in the popular series, 'Rocky Balboa', and has laughed off suggestions he is not fit enough to play the part.
He said: 'To tell you the truth I don't feel any older, or slower, or stiffer than I did 15 years ago.' Stallone, who is also due to start filming a fourth 'Rambo' movie later this year, insists he trains just as hard now as he did in his younger days. However, the muscle-bound actor admits he does sometimes feel a bit stiff after a gruelling workout. He explained: 'Sometimes when I'm working out I'll notice that my muscles can feel a little stiffer the next day than usual. But it doesn't affect my ability to train or work. 'I love to work out - it makes me feel good. And it's when I do a lot of my thinking and focus my mind on what I have to do.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
