Catherine Zeta-Jones vows to quit smoking
Dec 30, 2005, 15:06 GMT
Catherine Zeta-Jones has reportedly vowed to give up smoking for the sake of her two children.
The raven-haired actress says she's ditching the habit for Dylan, five, and two-year-old Carys, her children with actor Michael Douglas.
The Welsh beauty - who took up the anti-social vice as a teenager - is quoted in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: 'I have to stop as my kids are at the age when they are going to start asking questions.' Last month it was claimed Catherine demanded she be flown to an awards bash by private jet - so she could smoke. Catherine was invited to the New York ceremony and was determined to fly from Los Angeles in her own private plane. But the luxury flight was less to do with her not wanting to fly with the public but because of her nicotine cravings. A source was quoted by Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper as saying: 'She and Michael both smoke, and Catherine enjoys a cigarette when she flies, so a private jet is the only way she can smoke on board as it's banned on major airlines. 'She's quite a nervous flyer and it's the one luxury she indulges in.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
