Sir Elton John has branded Madonna a 'miserable cow' for refusing to turn up and sing at his 'hen night'.
The star - who married long-time lover David Furnish today (21.12.05) - wanted the singer to attend his pre-wedding bash on Monday night (19.12.05).
After the cabaret-style party at London's Too2Much club, Elton thanked all the 'fantastic' stars who had helped make the night special, then reportedly slammed Madonna for refusing to come. He is quoted in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: 'Madonna, the miserable cow, wouldn't do it. David asked her three times.' Meanwhile, police were out in force to control crowds outside the Guildhall registry office in Windsor to make sure anti-gay protesters didn't ruin the star's nuptials. The singer is said to have been horrified when Christian fundamentalist groups demonstrated at the first gay civil unions earlier this week - and was determined for it not to happen on his big day. A police source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'We don't want a hint of trouble, even anyone trying to throw an egg.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
