Nicole Richie and Adam Goldstein call off engagement

Nicole Richie and her fiancé, Adam Goldstein, have called off their engagement.
The stunning 'Simple Life' star and club DJ Adam, who dated for a year before getting engaged in February, split after a nine-month engagement.
Nicole's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, confirmed the couple had decided to call time on their relationship yesterday (07.12.05) but has so far refused to give out any further details. The split follows Nicole's former best friend Paris Hilton's split from fiancé Paris Latsis in October. Meanwhile, Nicole and Paris are set to star in a fourth series of 'The Simple Life'. The reality TV show was axed from the US Fox TV network last month - but has now been picked up by E! Entertainment Television for another run. It is not known whether the 24-year-old stars will appear on the show together - because the pair have been locked in a bitter feud for months. It was rumoured Nicole, daughter of soul star Lionel Richie, had infuriated her pal by showing her infamous sex tape, 'One Night In Paris', to friends at a party.
