'Big Daddy' star Sandler to become a father

'Big Daddy' star Adam Sandler is to become a father for the first time.
According to reports, the comic actor and his wife, Jackie, are expecting a baby together next spring.
The couple, who married in 2003 with Sandler's bulldog, Meatball, accompanying the bride down the aisle, are said to be thrilled with the happy news. Sandler's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, is yet to confirm the pregnancy but rumours are rife the couple plan to announce the happy news later this week. Sandler is not the only actor to celebrate becoming a father this week. Hollywood heavyweight Russell Crowe revealed this week that he is to become a father for a second time. The hunky actor - who has a toddler son, Charles - announced that his wife, Danielle Spencer, is pregnant at a dinner in Melbourne following the Australian Film Institute Awards last weekend.Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
