Kylie Minogue is writing a cancer diary

Kylie Minogue is writing a diary to inspire her fellow cancer sufferers.
The diminutive star - who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May this year - is reportedly penning a daily journal and wants to publish it to help others battling the disease.
A source told Britain's The People newspaper: 'Kylie knows she is in a position of influence and wants to use that positively by writing this diary. 'She believes that by sharing her experiences she can provide encouragement to those in a similar situation. She wants to get the message over that cancer can strike anybody, no matter how rich or famous. It will be a poignant and powerful read.' Last month, the 37-year-old singer was left distraught after doctors told her she was too sick to fly home to Australia for Christmas. Kylie had hoped to jet home from Paris, where she is currently being treated, to be with her family over the festive season. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'Doctors have advised her she probably won't be up to it so she's decided to stay in Paris. 'She's distraught because it's going to be a very traumatic time for her rather than the happy family day she's planned.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
