Dec 1, 2005, 13:04 GMT
Soccer star David Beckham earned an incredible £47,500 a day last year - totalling £17million in 2004.
The sports ace, who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, made £1million every three weeks through wages and from his team Real Madrid and various sponsorship deals.
The huge sum was revealed by accountants of his company, Footwork Productions. David - who is estimated to be worth £65 million - is sole shareholder in the firm, while his wife is listed as secretary and her father Tony Ads is one of two directors. The accountants' report stated: 'We are very pleased with the result for the year.' Although Beckham earns £4million-a-year from Real Madrid, the majority of his income comes from lucrative sponsorship and advertising deals. The handsome star endorses a number of top brands including Adidas, Pepsi, Gillette, Vodafone and Police sunglasses. David is currently seeking a new contract in Madrid rumoured to be worth a massive £40million a year.Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
