Tyson questioned in Brazil over alleged attack on cameraman

Sao Paulo - Mike Tyson was questioned by Brazilian police Thursday over claims by a cameraman that he was attacked by the former world boxing champion in a nightclub. Tyson now has to appear before a court in Sao Paolo Friday to explain his actions. The 34-year-old cameraman alleges that Tyson pushed him and threw his camera on the ground before removing the videotape. According to the police, the boxer admitted damaging the camera but denied pushing the cameraman. Tyson gave a press conference in Sao Paolo Wednesday and had asked that he subsequently be left in peace. Previously, he had appeared on a television show in Argentina hosted by football legend Diego Maradona. It's not the first time the American has been in the news for the wrong reasons. He has already served a prison sentence for rape while he also caused outrage when biting a piece of Evander Holyfield's ear off during a fight. © dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur
