Jennifer Lopez's first husband has dropped a breach of contract lawsuit against her.
Former waiter Ojani Noa, who was wed to the Latin beauty for just a year in 1997, had claimed his ex-wife sacked him as manager of her Pasadena restaurant Madre's with no explanation.
In his lawsuit, which sought unspecified damages, he alleged J.Lo had hired him for $1,000 a week, but fired him just six weeks later 'without good cause or reason' and refused to take his phone calls. He also claimed she had 'lied to lure him to accept a job that she did not plan on letting him keep in the first place.' However, Noa has now dropped the lawsuit, with his lawyer, David deRubertis, asking a Los Angeles judge to dismiss it without prejudice. This means Jennifer's ex will not be able to try and sue her at a later date over the same claims. It has not been revealed why Noa decided to drop the suit, or whether he had reached an out of court settlement with his former wife. Since splitting from her first husband, J.Lo was briefly wed to dancer Cris Judd and is now married to Latin singer Marc Anthony.Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
