Victoria Beckham spotted reading Scientology book

Victoria Beckham has been spotted reading a Scientology book - sparking speculation she's the latest celebrity to join the mysterious cult.
The former Posh Spice was pictured reading 'Assists For Illnesses and Injuries', a healing handbook based on the works of the group's founder L Ron Hubbard.
The 31-year-old brunette appeared to be immersed in the book as she shopped in Los Angeles. It's rumoured the paperback was recommended to her by Katie Holmes, who is engaged to Scientology devotee Tom Cruise. According to a report in Britain's The Sun newspaper, Katie - who is thought to have joined the group since falling for Cruise - met up with Victoria at an LA fashion show last week. It's believed the 'Batman Begins' beauty suggested the book after hearing about the star couple's worry about their ill son, Romeo. Earlier this month the three-year-old was rushed to a Madrid after suffering convulsions for the third time. The tot is now said to be on the road to recovery, although it's not known what caused the seizures.Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
