For Hollywood stars the soap opera is real

Los Angeles - Jennifer Aniston, Hollywood's favourite girl- next-door, is in the headlines again. The former 'Friends' star has apparently put the misery of her split from Brad Pitt behind her - to find comfort in the arms of rising funnyman Vince Vaughn, the star of 'Wedding Crashers'.
People Magazine reported Thursday that the love-struck couple had spent a romantic few days last week visiting Vaughn's hometown of Chicago where they took long lakefront walks, met Vaughn's parents and visited his favourite restaurants.
Capping the report was the headline 'Hot New Romance - it's official. Jen and Vince are a couple!', and pictures of them tenderly kissing and canoodling in the city's nightclubs and restaurants.
'I definitely think there's a romance going on there,' said People's Larry Hackett. 'These are two people who feel it's OK to be out in public and showing their affection.'
Aniston's many fans and well wishers will be hoping that she has now found true love following the torrid end of her much-watched marriage to Pitt - a repeat winner of People's sexiest man in the world accolade.
The couple had been widely regarded as the most glamourous pairing in Hollywood - and by extension the world - when they got married in 2000. They lived a dream lifestyle, but rumours began circulating last year that the Hollywood hunk was starting to feel unfulfilled.
They announced their divorce earlier this year amid stridently- denied rumours that Pitt's heart had wandered to Angelina Jolie, who coincidentally topped People's list of the world's sexiest women.
Insiders hinted that it was not a question of beauty that had caused Pitt to fall in love with Jolie when they starred together in the action comedy 'Mr. and Mrs Smith'. Rather it was the actress' commitment to humanitarian causes - she's a U.N. goodwill ambassador - and her love of children, including her own adopted son Maddox, whom she rescued from a Cambodian orphanage.
Being the loser of a love triangle is never easy to overcome. But for a beautiful Hollywood actress, the pain of being publicly ditched for a woman seen as more beautiful, caring and accomplished must have been devastating and Aniston told Vanity Fair magazine she was heartbroken over the split.
At first Pitt and Jolie denied their relationship. Jolie even insisted that she would never have done anything to break up a marriage.
But gradually it became clear that the two were more than just friends. The pair even went together earlier this year to Ethiopia where Jolie adopted a baby girl she named Zahara, who was suffering from malnutrition. Other reports said that the two kids had taken to calling Pitt 'Daddy'.
But Aniston was not sulking. She moved out of the Malibu house she shared with Pitt and which they put up for sale for 28 million dollars this month. She threw herself into charity work and also into her acting, starring with Vaughn in a movie ironically called 'The Break Up'. Completing the soap-opera circle was the fact that Vaughn had a first hand view of the Aniston-Pitt breakup: he also starred in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'.
However, the pair denied they were anything but good friends. 'Nothing wrong with having pretty girls around, always makes the day go faster,' Vaughn quipped. Aniston last month said on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' that she was ready to date again, but in response to Winfrey's query about Vaughn, Aniston responded, 'Oh, Oprah!'
Now the secret is well and truly out and Hollywood's star watchers have two new glamour couples to drool over. The only problem might be the nicknames: Pitt and Aniston were known as 'Bennifer', while Pitt and Jolie are known as 'Brangelina'. One can only hope that Vaughn and Aniston will not be called Vinnifer - that might turn the whole relationship sour.

I think Jen/Vince deserve respect. First of all, they are both single and they are attracted to each other, period. Nobody cheated on anyone in their case. As for trying to call the whole thing a Soap Opera, come on, I'd call it a real life story. There is nothing soapy about it. We found people attracted to each other and making out - what is so wrong with that??? I don't see anything wrong. Sorry if I am mistaken since you guys always want to go back to Jen and Brad who are, by the way, divorced. Too bad Brad cheated and went onto hiding making this more complicated than it should be. Cheating has never been a mystry until Brad Pitt made it recently. Well, that is his take and formula. I wouldn't do it. I think he could be himself for once and take some lessons from Jen Aniston.
i agree with you mr or ms. 'totally wrong' - but hey, he's been really really mean to everybody including angelina jolie - if u know what i mean! poor angelina thinks he loves her or something like that?? she doesn't know brad at all! am glad jen has moved on despite what almost everyone thought, inlcluding her own supposedly 'loving' ex husband. i think i love vince. he's really grounded and normal. he's funny and sort of free spirited. love the fact that he is huge and tall - yummy!!!
I find it interesting that Vince, who worked with Brad on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, would move on and date Brad's ex. I do wonder how long Jennifer and Vince have been seeing each other. To me, it seems that while she was playing 'poor me' martyr in the press, she and Vince, were indeed together as was being speculated in the media. Even though she kept saying they were 'just friends' and that she didn't want to do the rebound thing, I guess that was a lie. It seems to me that they both (Pitt and Jennifer) moved on before they're marriage was officially over. Of course, we could believe that Jennifer and Vince were just friends while filming and only hooked up after they finished shooting, but then it would be only fair to believe that Brad and Angelina were only friends while filming and only hooked up after they finished shooting. Which I guess if we believed Jennifer, who said she believe Brad did not cheat (as have her ever vocal 'friends'), but then it seems Jennifer doesn't always tell the truth either. I mean, either she's lying and Brad did cheat and she's lying about when she and Vince hooked up, or she's an honest woman about both, in my opinion. She can't have it both ways.
I do hope they've all moved on. It's past time.
listen guys, brad cheated. i repeat, he cheated while still married to jen. look at his pics with angelina jolie in italy while filming, & his beach walk with angelina jolie in africa, & take a look at their movie again - - affair and cheating is written all over it. it's very disgusting! i would not say such a thing if my feelings didn't tell me. why do u think brad is still hiding?? u think it is out of respect for jen? don't be rediculous. it is out of public humiliation he caused for himself. he is the one who became the looser & liar after all this drama. who did he think he was - only he can answer that. he called 'that is a good story' when the journalist asked him about his affair. he also said 'she is a good egg' about angelina jolie. he said he kept his love for his wife while in reality, he was fucking somebody else. that is brad pitt for you. jen and vince can't simply say 'we are a couple' - because nobody said that in hollywood, it simply is not done that way. the fact that they showed their affection in public says a lot - in short, they have NOTHING to be ashamed of.
I see people who continue to assume that Brad and Angelina hooked up before Brad and Jennifer split up, even though ALL of the parties involved have denied it (including Jennifer and Courtney Cox). Yet, Jennifer and Vince were also rumored to be hooking up while they were filming, but they denied it and people aren't calling them liars. Even though, now Jennifer and Vince are clearly more than friends. Have they been hooking up all along? or Did they wait until the movie was over? It is possible to have an attraction and not act on it. If Jennifer and Vince waited, then it's just as possible Brad and Angelina waited, also.
There is no point in trying to defend Brad and Angelina.
The people who support Jennifer will just disregard
everything that Brad and Angelina say, they just want
to attack Brad and Angelina. You have NO solid evidence
of Brad cheating! Again, you are citing tabloid stories
as evidence. Brad and Angelina were photographed on
the beach in April. Brad and Jen broke up in January!
Brad and Angelina both emphatically denied having
an affair while he was married to Jennifer Aniston.
Those pictures of them dancing and holding hands
were taken while shooting a scene. There was one picture
of Angelina leaning in Brad's direction, the tabloids
decided to twist that into snuggling. No photos of them
kissing or doing anything inappropriate off the set.
Give me a break. You are drawing nasty conclusions
about people, when you don't know the truth at all.
Brad and Angie denied having an adulterous relationship.
When they did start dating, they decided not to comment
on it, because they knew stupid, hateful people that
read the tabloids will draw those false correlations.
Tom Cruise was in a similiar situation. There were
rumors of him having an affair with Penelope Cruz
while shooting Vanilla Sky. He dumped Nicole a
month after shooting that movie. A month after he
filed for divorce, he was flaunting Peneople at
premieres. Tom denied cheating on Nicole, and Penelope
denied wrecking the marriage. There was a minor
backlash, but most people believed them and respected
their denials. There was none of this hatred and criticism.
Nicole Kidman did not play the victim card, she showed
dignity and class.
Jennifer Lopez was married to Cris Judd when she made
Gigli with Ben Affleck. She dumped and divorced Cris
Judd right after shooting that movie. And immediately
hooked up with Ben. You didn't see people saying that
she cheated on Cris with Ben.
There does not have to be a correlation between an
old relationship ending and a new one beginning.
I believe Brad Pitt when he said that nothing
improper happened between him and Angelina while
he was married. Jen fans are just blaming Angelina
for that divorce, she is an easy scapegoat.
That article was such just bull. The corrupt media
just doesn't want to let this whole golden boy dumping
golden girl for temptress storyline go. It is dirty
and juicy, and has made the tabloids a lot of money!
I believe Brad Pitt when he said nothing improper
happened between him and Angelina while he was still
married to Jennifer. Why is not believable to you guys
that Brad Pitt may have a conscience? That he did
not act on his natural chemistry and attraction with
Angelina while shooting that movie? When he became
single, there was no reason to deny the special
conenction between them. I don't think he planned on
jumping into another serious relationship so
quickley. But the timing of life and love can be messy?
What is he just supposed to give up a beautiful woman
that could possibly be his soulmate, because the nasty
tabloids made up a lie?! I think Brad and Angelina
are perfect for each other. I hope they stay strong
and ignore the spiteful haters like you! Plus, Brad
Pitt is a talented actor and has a great personality.
He is not popular just because he is sexy.
Something seems incredibly fishy with Jennifer and Vince.
I think this is a strategic rebound fling. All this
hype is giving the both of them so much publicity.
Now more people will watch 'The Breakup' to see if
they have chemistry or not. They are making out in
public places and balconies where they know photographers
can see them! They made sure to make out so publicly where
the editor of People Magazine could spot them and write
about it. I don't think it is genuine on Jennifer's part.
She is engaging in another public romance so she won't
look like a loser, to make the public very aware that
she is over Brad. Plus, Vince Vaughn is one of Brad's
closest friends, I think she is trying to make Brad
jealous. It is like she is competing with Brad or
something. It is all tactics. I have a feeling this
'romance' will probably be over after that movie
is out of theaters. She is just using Vince. Naive
people are buying her act, just like they were buying
her whole 'victim' act.
Let's just wish all these people happiness. I think
Brad and Angelina are telling the truth. Just leave
them alone! They are obviously in love. They are
doing good things and living a good life. I wish
Brad, Angelina, Maddox, and Zahara nothing but
the best. I can't imagine the pain they must feel
with being wrongly villified by the media like this.
All because people feel sorry for Jennifer Aniston,
so they are lashing out against Brad and Angelina
by using the false adultery rumors. Jennifer is
no victim. She was not betrayed or even dumped
by Brad. Their breakup in January was a mutual
and amicable one.
Saying that Vince is better than Brad is just
a ridiculous lie. Brad is a beautiful actor
who has played a diverse range of characters
in a diverse range of movies. He truly
has earned his success and popularity.
You just hate him because you choose
to believe the rumor that he cheated on
your precious Jennifer. Vince Vaughn is just
this loud, obnoxious guy. I don't think he
is funny at all. He peforms decently
in comedies where he plays himself, but he
sucks in dramatic roles. He is average looking
at best. That is just my opinion. However,
Vince and Jen make a more compatible pairing than
Brad and Jen. Who knows if this 'romance' will
last? My gut feeling says it will not last
long, that it will be over a few months
after that movie comes out. All this PDA
has commercial benefits to their career
and level of fame.
There is no point in trying to defend Brad
and Angelina. You will never change the
minds of Jen-fans. They will hate Brad
and Angelina no matter what. They will
unfairly brand them as cheater and homewrecker,
no matter what we say or what Brad and Angelina
say! This was such a despicable article, it
is trash. I can't believe I am bothering to
even post on it. As for Jen, I am glad she
has moved on. Now she will quit whining about
devastated and heartbroken she is, and quit
pretending to be this great victim. I wish
all these people happiness.
Brad and Angelina have a lot of die-hard fans
on this site, but they are fed up of with
having to argue with Jen fans. So they are
not posting. They made an agreement not
to cross on Jen's turf and not to post on
Jennifer or Vince articles. I know about
this agreement from reading about the postings
on another article.
Can't we declare some sort of truce? Can't
you guys declare your good wishes for
Jennifer and Vince without making nasty
accusations about Brad and Angelina?
Those horrible things you say about
Brad have no truth or merit to them

debate should be over! The only losers,

Your comments are way too long whoever you are! What Jen did is simply date a guy - it could as well be Michael Jackson, he's single right?! She just is with a guy and happy again. And seems people try to sort of define that for her. She suffered a lot believe me - I can confirm that. So did Brad. It was not easy for both am sure. Whatever Brad did, it is his life, not Jen's. I don't think Jen worries about it that much any more like the rest of you do. She is divorced now & she gracefully emerged as a decent and classy lady - she always was by the way. No bad-mouthing from her which is respectable by any standards. I would not go to Brad & Angelina because they have their own life. The whole thing unfolded like a story of double-crossing, cheating and well, divorce. But well, after all, Jen happened to be the winner & it all ended with her smiling. It is all evident that people wanted her to appear a victim and sort of be this bitchy divorcee but she simply is the opposite. She said she will always love her ex-husband. Now who the hell said that about their ex-husband who cheated on them??????? The two Jen/Brad will always be in our memory whether we like it or not because of who they were & how we all dreamt of being like them - well, are we all thinking we will have their bad luck? I would not mind if I end up feeling like Jen Aniston after the bad luck, or even like Brad for that matter.
I think Brad cheated. Don't get angry at me because it is my personal feeling. He cheated and he thought he will get away with it, which he did for the most part of it. I still feel he can get jealous though (when he sees Jen and Vince together.) Brad is an extremely possessive guy I guess - no matter what he did with Angelina Jolie, he still has this thing for Jen. So I won't be surprised if he spends a couple of sleepless nights thinking Jen sharing a kiss with Vince - that is very very disturbing in deed. Photos say a lot of what happened - everybody has a sense to see. So for me, I believe what I see, not what I heard. I saw pictures, and that for me, it is a million dollar better than Brad Pitt talking for 10 hours non-stop about how he never cheated on his wife before their separation - how pathetic can one get, really?????
And guys, don't even try to compare Jen/Vince to Brad/Angelina - PLEASE. That is totally disrespectful to everyone. Jen is divorced or separated when she started seeing Vince. It was last week or a week before - period. That should say something - she suffered alone and it was time to move on after the divorce. She started filming only recently and they can have a great chemistry with Vince and even they might even have started sort of being cosy with each other. To say that is comparable with Brad's beach walk in Africa with his new catch and all that in Morocco & what he has done with her in Italy, and all that fishy story we just don't know yet is simply trying to pretend! Jen showed the entire world that she can kiss a normal guy and whether she admitted just before it happened or not, that is totally irrelevant. If she is a couple with him or not, time only tells. But she simply is clean-cut, showed the entire world that she has moved on - and well, there you have it - Vince/Jen have nothing to hide it seems. :)

call it whatever you want, jen is in love and happy. vince is actually much better than brad - he is taller, funnier and open to public and has nothing to be ashamed off! and he looks more REAL and GROUNDED than brad pitt. being the 'sexiest man alive' does not add to anyone's value, neither being 'sexiest woman alive' - it is all a face value. i admire vince and jen for trusting the public and for being one of us. there is nothing to be ashamed of. and jen deserves to be happy after the cheating and lying she suffered from that white trash called brad pitt!
