Oct 13, 2005, 11:33 GMT
Thirteen bags of cocaine were allegedly discovered in Boy George's apartment when he was arrested.
The singer was charged with possession of drugs on Friday (07.10.05) after a stash of narcotics was uncovered in his New York home.
His lawyer, Lou Freeman, previously said a 'small amount' was found but according to papers released by Manhattan's district attorney, police found a larger quantity of cocaine. The singer arrived back in Britain earlier this week after being charged. When he arrived at Heathrow airport the former Culture Club frontman refused to comment on the allegations. He told reporters: 'Don't ask me any questions because you are not going to get any answers at all.' Officers are said to have discovered the narcotics after the star - real name George O'Dowd - reported a burglary at his flat.police searched the 44-year-old's plush apartment and allegedly uncovered the haul.
The singer - who faces up to 15 years in jail if he's convicted of the charges - will return to the US for a court hearing on December 19.Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
