Pamela Anderson has posed topless for an anti-fur campaign in China.
The former 'Baywatch' babe, who is an ardent animal rights campaigner, will appear on a series of phone cards telling people to boycott fur.p
ammy appears on the cards with her back facing the camera and her arm party hiding the side of her right breast accompanied with the slogan: 'Give fur the cold shoulder', written in English.
The campaign, which has been organised by animal rights group PETA, also depicts an image of falling snow with Chinese characters reading: 'Cold shoulders are nothing compared to the pain they feel. Please don't wear fur.' 70,000 phone cards have been printed by PETA and China Telecom, a government owned telecommunications provider, and Pammy is confident the campaign will have a major effect in China - which has been lambasted in recent months over its thriving fur trade. In a statement released by PETA, the actress said: 'The people of China deserve to know about the immense suffering of animals killed for their fur. 'Once people know that animals are electrocuted, drowned, bludgeoned to death and sometimes skinned alive, they realize fur is disgusting and that there's nothing luxurious or fashionable about it.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
