George Clooney's environmentally-friendly car
Oct 12, 2005, 11:42 GMT
George Clooney stunned fans as he whizzed around Hollywood in a tiny 39-inch environmentally-friendly car yesterday (11.10.05).
The heartthrob actor drove off the set of his new movie, 'The Good German', in the £45,000 UK-built Tango.
The 'Batman' star was reportedly impressed with the fuel efficiency of the unusual electric vehicle so had it shipped to his swanky Los Angeles home. An admirer who spotted the star cruising the streets in the tiny black car told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: 'It's great the car isn't a gas guzzler but it still looks a bit sad. 'This is George Clooney for goodness sake - you expect to see him in the Batmobile.' Tango designer Rick Woodbury said the car is perfect for George - who already owns a fleet of Harley Davidson bikes - because it's a favourite with Californians. He said: 'It was designed with the Californian market in mind as it's very environmentally-friendly and ideal for moving easily through traffic. George is known to be interested in green issues.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
