More from Keira Knightley on split
Aug 18, 2005, 10:49 GMT
Keira Knightley has spoken out for the first time about her split from boyfriend Jamie Dornan.
The beautiful actress insists she is still friends with the handsome Irish model and says she is happy being single.
She revealed: "All I can say is that I'm extremely happy because I've been able to stay friends with every person I've had a relationship with.
"I was supposed to be 'gutted' and there was allegedly 'crisis talks'. It's all nonsense. I'm happy as I am. I'm single and not looking for anything."
Keira says her friends have been helping her through the break-up - the reason for which the actress will not divulge.
She said: "I'm lucky I have a great collection of mates and I can do my talking to them.
"Things change slowly and it isn't simply a matter of moving on. A relationship, as every girl knows, is complicated. It's not black and white - it's various shades of grey. So there's no way to explain what happened in a paragraph or two."
For the meantime, Keira - who plays Elizabeth Bennet in the new movie version of 'Pride and Prejudice' - is making do with her on-screen romances.
She added in an interview with Britain's Now magazine: "At least I'm enjoying plenty of on-screen romance with Mr Darcy."
