Burt Reynolds regrets turning down 'Terms of Endearment'

Burt Reynolds has confessed his biggest career mistake was turning down a role in hit movie 'Terms of Endearment' in 1983.The actor believes if he had taken a starring role in the box office success he would be a much bigger star than he is today.He revealed: "The stupidest thing I ever did was turn down 'Terms of Endearment' to do 'Cannonball Run II'."Jim Brooks wrote the astronaut part for me. Taking that role would have been a way to get all the things I wanted."Meanwhile, Burt has confessed his autobiography was penned in just three days.The 'Dukes of Hazzard' star revealed to Britain's Esquire magazine: "My autobiography is a good book, considering it was written in three days."
