Christy Turlington pregnancy riddle

Aug 11, 2005, 11:20 GMT

Christy Turlington is at the centre of a pregnancy riddle.

The sexy supermodel has reportedly told friends she is expecting a second child with her husband, Hollywood actor Ed Burns, according to America's Us Weekly magazine.

The star couple already have a 22-month-old daughter called Grace. 'Saving Private Ryan' star Ed once admitted he was desperate to have a large family.

He said at the time: "I believe in family life and staying loyal to your wife and now I've married Christy, we're going to make up for lost time with a family of our own. Three or four kids would be great. We're really looking forward to it."

Ed, 37, and Christy, 36, finally got married n June 2003 after their wedding was hit by several setbacks.

They were originally due to walk down the aisle in New York in September 2001, but they put their plans on hold when the 9/11 tragedy happened. The cancellation of the wedding took its toll on the couple's relationship and they decided to split - which luckily turned out to be just a temporary separation.

Looking back on the break up, Ed admits that it was "stupid on my part."

He explained: "We went our separate ways. I don't really know why. We were getting along great, but it was as if that special moment for marriage had just come and gone."

But now the hunky actor is looking forward to a long and happy life with Christy.

He said recently: "I have no doubt that marrying Christy was the best decision of my life."
