Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie enjoy romantic break

Brad Pitt and lover Angelina Jolie have enjoyed a romantic break at a swanky desert spa.

The smitten couple reportedly flew into the tranquil Westin Kierland Resort in Arizona in the 'Tomb Raider' beauty's private jet.

They are said to have left Angelina's two adopted children, Maddox and baby Zahara, at home so they could spend some quality time together.

An insider at the exclusive retreat told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper the besotted pair enjoyed some pampering in the spa before retiring to the resort's £1,000 a night presidential suite.

The source revealed: "They arrived dressed very casually in T-shirts and jeans, but they still looked incredible together. They were amazingly relaxed in each others' company.

"After their pampering session they retired to their suite and weren't seen again all night."

The insider added: "The chemistry between them is amazing - they definitely enjoyed having time alone without the kids.

"They stayed one night before heading for Malibu and looked refreshed as they checked out."

Meanwhile the pair, who started dating after the collapse of Brad's four-and-a-half year marriage to 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston, are reportedly buying a £6 million mansion in the south of France.

The couple plan to enjoy holidays there with Maddox and Zahara.

A friend is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Brad is really happy with Angelina at the moment. They keep saying how perfect their lives are. "All they need now is to sort out a permanent base."
