David and Victoria Beckham's son Romeo was rushed to hospital on Friday (29.07.05) over fears he had suffered a dangerous convulsion.
The two-and-a-half-year old toddler reportedly fell violently ill for no apparent reason on prompting Victoria, who was at the couple's Beckingham Palace British home alone, to make a dash to the nearest emergency room.
The former Spice Girl took the terrified tot to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in Harlow, where doctors immediately assessed his condition.
One onlooker at the medical centre said: "Romeo had been sick on her. The doctors seemed to know what was wrong and one mentioned a fit."
Romeo - who has two brothers, Brooklyn, six, and baby Cruz - was kept in for observation for several hours but his condition was said to be fine on Saturday (30.07.05).
Meanwhile, David Beckham has slammed the British public for "building up" their sports stars only to knock them down.
The England football ace claims his life has been made a misery by false allegations of adultery and attacks on his sporting ability.
He said: "They put you up there and then they try and knock you down.
"Then, when you're down, if you get out of it, they like that But once you're out of it, they try and knock you down again."
