Bruce Willis in hot water over party comment
Jul 28, 2005, 13:00 GMT
Bruce Willis landed himself in hot water during a recent party after jokingly asking a woman for sex.
The Hollywood actor had been enjoying a night out with friends at an exclusive bash at the lavish Roosevelt Hotel, in New York, when he made the raunchy quip.
According to reports, Willis had been chatting with a host of other revellers when the conversation turned to sex, prompting the 'Die Hard' star to ask one shocked girl: "What are your plans for sex tonight?"
The inappropriate comment left the unknown woman fuming and she stormed out before giving the handsome star - who is divorced from screen beauty Demi Moore - an answer to his proposition.
However, Willis' lawyer Marty Singer has defended his client insisting the actor - who split from his latest girlfriend, former opera singer Nadia Bjorlin, in April - was only joking with the woman and did not really want to bed her.
He said: "Bruce was joking around with some friends and talking about pick-up lines. One remembered an old line Bruce used to use. The friend said the line and Bruce may have repeated it but he wasn't trying to pick up the woman."
